Vicki Anderson

Soul singer Vicki Anderson, born Myra Barnes, has been active since the 1960s and is well known for her performances alongside the James Brown Revue. James Brown claimed she was the best singer he ever had in his revue. She released her feminist anthem and most famous song “The Message from the Soul Sisters” in 1970. Bossa Nostra are an Italian jazz and bossa nova band. They released this remix of Gil Scott-Heron’s “Home Is Where The Hatred Is” in 1996.
