Benny Goodman

Benny Goodman was an American jazz and swing musician, clarinetist and bandleader. He led one of the most important swing jazz groups in the 1930s which helped launch the careers of many jazz artists. Goodman was the first jazz musician to ever play Carnegie Hall in 1937 and also to lead one of the first well-known racially integrated jazz groups during an era of segregation.
