Albert King

Albert King was an American blues guitarist and singer. He had a profound influence on blues guitarists worldwide. Credited as one of the “Four Kings of Blues Guitar”, alongside B.B. King, Earl King and Freddie King, he mastered the single-string solo and specialized in bending strings to produce a highly suffering blues sound that set him apart from others. Guitarists from the likes of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Mike Bloomfield and Stevie Ray Vaughan were highly influenced by Albert King’s style. In 1983, he was inducted into the Blues Foundation’s Hall of Fame.
