Round Hill invests in classic catalogs, partnering with extraordinary songwriters and performers, protecting their legacy and elevating both the cultural impact and commercial value of their work.
We have built a full-service, in-house investment and operations platform designed to navigate the complex landscape of international royalties administration.
Operating from offices in four of the world’s major music centers, we source, acquire, administer and monetize music copyrights across global markets.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF ROUND HILL
In 2010, Josh Gruss, a musician and investment professional, founded Round Hill Music to capture the opportunity in an asset class yet to be discovered by institutional investors.
JOSH GRUSS
FOUNDER & CEO
From the outset, Round Hill acquired rights to classic works from The Beatles, Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Madonna and many more.
As the portfolio grew, Round Hill brought seasoned music industry and investment operators into the business, optimizing baseline royalty collection and expanding revenues through strategic media placements and partnership deals with major brands and digital platforms.
“At Round Hill, our strategy is grounded in two core principles: first, to invest in classic songs with the enduring emotional resonance to transcend generations; and second, to ensure those works are managed with disciplined, long-term stewardship. By remaining focused on these priorities, we believe we are well positioned to deliver value for our investors.”
