Steve Clark serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Round Hill Music, bringing over three decades of experience and leadership in the global music publishing industry. Based in London, Steve oversees all operational and IT functions and works closely with Round Hill’s management team to drive the company’s ambitious growth strategy. As a respected executive and an accomplished musician, Steve brings a wealth of industry insight to Round Hill, where he continues to champion innovation in music publishing and rights management, generally.

Before joining Round Hill in 2020, Steve was the Executive Vice President of Global Operations at Warner Chappell Music, where he spent nearly 20 years. During his tenure, he helped build the Company’s global digital strategy, centralized operations and on-shored IT into a new global center in Asia. In parallel, he came up with the vision to replace the decentralized core systems, scripted the business plan and then managed the build and rollout of the Company’s global contracts, copyright and royalty system, driving a dramatic increase in royalty revenue through enhanced income tracking and analytics. Part of this project included the build and rollout of the Company’s first multi-language client Portal and App.

Steve’s career began after graduating from Liverpool University with a degree in music in 1987. He joined the printed music publisher, International Music Publications Ltd (“IMP”) as a music editor, where his published arrangements remain in print today. At IMP, he rose to Head of Publishing and Copyright, solidifying his expertise in copyright and licensing.

An active leader within the music community, Steve has served on prominent industry boards, including the Music Publishers Association (“MPA”), the International Confederation of Music Publishers (“ICMP”) and the International Music Publishers Association (“IMPA”). In 2019, he received the MPA’s Tony Pool Award, honoring his outstanding contributions to music administration. In 2024, he was appointed to the Board of Advisors for Audoo, a technology and data company working to improve the accurate distribution of public performance royalties.

Aside from work, Steve loves spending time with his family, enjoys outdoor activities, has a private pilot’s license and continues to play trombone and piano while serving as a Director of a local charity.
